Seventh time mentoring:

During this class students were working on missing work. Students were turning in papers and projects from the beginning of the semester. These students never knew they had any missing work until the teacher had just told them. There should be a better and more organized system for students to easily access they're past work and what they need to complete to get a good grade. Students were upset that the teacher had waited so long to tell them they were missing work. Some students had completed the work, but had not electronically shared the work. Some students had turned in the work and the teacher misplaced it. And some students had no idea they had missed the turn in date for some assignments. If we want our students to actually be successful and learn new material we need to help them complete their work with understanding and confidence and we need to be clear with organization and due dates.
